Medical Director
Your Medical Director is Herbert L. Wang, M.D. He is a Board Certified Radiation Oncologist. Dr. Wang specializes in 3D conformal therapy, IMRT, stereotactic radiosurgery, intravascular brachytherapy and partial breast irradiation. He has performed numerous low dose rate and high dose rate implant procedures. In addition, he has presented multiple medical seminars for physicians, other medical professionals and the public.
Physicist and Dosimetrist
Dr. Wang works with a dosimetrist and physicist, both national board certified, to develop a course of treatment specifically designed for each individual patient. They ensure that the desired area of treatment gets exactly the dose the doctor prescribes and to minimize the impact on nearby healthy tissue.
Radiation Therapists
The therapists are the people who actually give the radiation treatments. They are national certified and state licensed for treatment delivery. They take the plan the doctor and physics/dosimetry come up with and apply it to the patient. You will see them daily and they are there to help you throughout your treatment with any problems or concerns you have. They are also the liaison between the patient and doctor on a daily basis.
Office Staff
We have a very courteous and friendly office staff. They take care of helping the patients with any concerns regarding billing, scheduling, doctor accessibility, information gathering and a host of other concerns that the patient may have during their treatment.
